SimplyKnown (simplyknown.co) is a free web tool that lets creators send a video file to their own TikTok account. This policy describes exactly what data the tool touches. The short version: as little as technically possible, and nothing durable.
When you connect your TikTok account through TikTok's official login, we receive an access token plus your basic public profile (display name, avatar, and TikTok's opaque account identifier). We use the profile only to show you which account is connected before you send anything.
Your TikTok access token is sealed inside an encrypted, HttpOnly cookie stored in your own browser. We keep no server-side database of users, tokens, or sessions. The cookie expires automatically (within 12 hours) and is deleted immediately if you press Disconnect.
Video files you upload are relayed directly to TikTok's Content Posting API during the request and are not stored, copied, or inspected by us. Once the handoff to TikTok completes, we hold nothing.
The only cookies we set are the two needed to operate the tool: a short-lived sign-in state cookie and the encrypted session cookie described above. No analytics, no advertising, no cross-site tracking.
Your video and token are shared with exactly one party — TikTok — solely to perform the upload you requested. We do not sell, share, or transfer any personal data to anyone else. The site is served via Cloudflare, our hosting provider, which processes requests on our behalf.
Press Disconnect on the upload page (this also asks TikTok to revoke the token), clear your cookies, or revoke access in TikTok's settings (Settings → Security → Apps and permissions). Because we store nothing server-side, there is nothing further to delete. For any request or question, email us and we will respond promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this address.
